About Ovnit

The problem it works on

When a product is sold through a marketplace or a retailer, the brand that made it usually has no way to reach the person who bought it: no setup help after the box is opened, no way to tell them about a safety notice, no record that they own it. The packaging is the one thing the brand still controls.

What Ovnit does

A brand puts an Ovnit QR code on its packaging or insert card. Scanning it opens a page about that product, run by Ovnit on the brand’s behalf, where the customer can:

Follow setup instructions and watch how-to videos
Find care information, spare parts and support routes
Report a problem or start a warranty claim
Register the product, if they choose to, and separately choose whether to hear from the brand
Find the retailer’s own review page, which is offered to everyone in the same way

The brand sees how its packaging is used — scans, which help was opened, registrations — and can contact customers who registered, within what each of them agreed to.

What Ovnit is not

It is not part of Amazon or any retailer, and is not endorsed or certified by them.
It does not receive a marketplace’s customer details. What it knows about a shopper comes from what that shopper does on a brand’s product page, and whether they open or click the brand’s emails.

Who runs it

Ovnit is operated by Ovnit LTD. Company number: 17495977. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, England. Full company details, and how to reach us, are on the company information page.

Ovnit LTD also makes a separate product: software for brands that advertise on Amazon in the US, which reports on how their sponsored prompts perform and proposes changes the brand approves. It is a separate system with its own accounts and its own database; nothing a brand keeps in one product is used by the other.
